Our smokey products
We are really proud of our smoked products and confidently expect that you will really enjoy eating them. However, if something that we have sent you fails to come up the standard that you have a right to expect, then please get in touch with us without delay. We endeavour to respond within 24 hours, though at weekends this might stretch to 48.
We go to a lot of trouble to ensure that your keenlay awaited box of smokey treats arrives in the best possible condition. We use specially designed insulated packaging, together with chiller packs.
Orders and Payment
We take payment at the time of ordering. In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil your order and despatch within 3 working days, then we’ll be in direct touch with you to discuss alternative plans. In the event that we are unable to supply what you want, when you want, we shall refund your account within 24 hours.
Any special offers we make are designed to be used independently and are not available in conjunction with any other offer.
We do not dispatch on Saturdays or Sundays.
Most of our deliveries are handled by the Royal Mail. We cannot take responsibility for delays in delivery by Royal Mail outside of our control including industrial action and subsequent disruption to the service. We endeavour to keep our customers informed so that they are aware of the situation and know when to expect delays. Royal Mail advise that 1st Class delivery can take 1-5 working days, but usually do arrive next day. Our products will be adequately packed to survive this transit in tip top condition.
Our products do not normally fit through a standard letter box, so if there is nobody at home to receive the package, then it may well have to collected from your local sorting office.
If you require a tracking service for the parcel, then we can use Royal Mail Parcel Force – the extra costs are as quoted on the delivery options page. However, in the event of no-one being at home, the pick-up from sorting office solution will still be required.
We can only offer refunds for products that have been delayed in the post, or resend them, at our sole discretion. The Royal Mail categorises a parcel as lost if undelivered after 1-25 working days. If your parcel has not arrived after 25 working days, we will issue a refund or send your smokey products again, whichever you prefer.
While we will be happy to send a message from you to the recipient of the package, we reserve the right not to send a message that may contain offensive and/or inappropriate content.
We share values and mindsets with a small number of artisan producers such as ourselves. BUT we won’t pass on your information to anyone unless you have agreed for us to do so. We operate within the conditions set out in the Data Protection Act 1998.
Our Ts and Cs don’t affect any of your rights under UK law.
They may change from time to time. We can’t notify your, our customers, of any changes without potentially boring you to sleep or clogging up your inbox. This means that it down to you to pick up any changes as and when you order. Don’t worry – we won’t try and slip in any hidden nasties!
We do refuse the right to supply any order or provision of services offered or regularly provided by The Chesil Smokery Ltd.
We’ve try our level best, to ensure that everything we say on our website is factually correct. If we have got anything wrong, we will happily give you the opportunity to cancel an order or allow us to make good any discrepancy.
If you subscribe to our marvellous box scheme, we’ll give you the chance to send a FREE pressie to a friend. When you receive your first goodie box, you’ll find a voucher inside with the value and a code on it. Simply pop along to our website, place an order like you normally would and at the checkout, type in your friend’s address and the voucher code. Bob’s your uncle, a very chuffed friend.
Box schemes are paid by monthly direct debit and we’ll email you a reminder before we send your goodies out, which will give you the chance to ring Mark on 01308 456 306 to adjust your order, should you need to. The bigger the box, the better the value, as the size of your discount depends on the total price of your basket.
Our cancellation policy is simple, we can't imagine why you'd every want to, but just give Mark a call 01308 456 306. Please note that you’re signing up to a minimum of three months and we can’t accept cancellations unless your reasons for cancelling are within our standard terms and conditions.
